The Jack Post Freshaire FT-20 Clothesline Pole mounts securely into the ground with a ground socket (not included). Simply dig a hole that is 10 inches in diameter and 24 inches deep and fill with ready-mix gravel concrete. Then mark a line on the post 8 inches up from the bottom. Insert the post into the concrete-filled hole, making sure that the 8-inch mark you made doesn't go below the concrete. This pole is 72 inches tall; 8 inches will go into the ground leaving a 64-inch high pole above ground. Click on the link below for complete installation instructions.
