My cat wrecked my wood rack by jumping up on the top of it over and over. Since she is so spoiled I could not reprimand her, so needless to say she broke it. She loved to tackle the clothes on it. She was a rescue from deplorable conditions, so I have let her more or less have the run of the house. When I set this rack up, she came up to it and tried once to jump on it and it did not collapse and she has since left it alone. No challenge I guess. It is a fabulous item and we put in a wood stove this year and all the clothes dry overnight. I have it sitting right to the side of the stove. It is very sturdy has saved me from using my dryer. I love it and am going to order another one to put in the laundry room also. It is just what I was looking for. And it is very attractive too. Thank you for the product. We live in a small town and no one has anything like this. I give it a ten all the way around. P.S. It is very easy to open and shut, but I leave it up all the time.
